From Handcraft to High-Tech

The company was founded as a metalworking shop in 1945. The overhaul of machinery and the manufacture of housings for the mechanical engineering industry were carried out in the years that followed. In 1965, this was supplemented by the manufacture of machines for the beverage industry, and the first hardening machines were designed and built in 1970.

The manufacture of hardening machines was continuously developed and expanded in close collaboration with customers in the automobile and gearbox industry, and with research institutions such as IWT Bremen.

Today, as well as hardening machines, the company also designs and manufactures handling systems for loading and unloading, furnace manipulators, magazine devices and machines for the energy-saving cleaning of parts after hardening.

HEESS places great importance on the integration of individual components to form an efficient overall system with high availability.
